Development History
2011
The game was jointly developed in the context of the DFG-funded Collaborative Research Centre 586 ‘Difference and Integration’ in a cooperation between the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research – UFZ Leipzig, the University of Leipzig, and the Berlin University of the Arts.
A stationary prototype was developed for the six months long final exhibition of the SFB 586 “Brisante Begegnungen – Nomaden in einer sesshaften Welt” (Charged Encounters – Nomads in a Sedentary World) at the Ethnology Museum in Hamburg. The design was created by Prof. Peter Herbsreuth, Antonia Okoli, Philipp Peil, and Thomas Zimmermann from the University of the Arts.
2013
A portable board game version with revised rules was designed at the UFZ Leipzig; twenty copies were manufactured in cooperation with the sheltered workshop “Diakonie am Thonberg.”
